
I thoroughly enjoyed watching “The Greatest Show on Earth,” which is out next week on Blu-ray. All the same, I had a nagging feeling throughout. Sure, it looked like the animals in the circus were being treated well, but that wasn’t the truth of the situation.
Watching the movie, I kept wanting to be able to go back to such a circus. But, not really. The circus I would go back to is a scircus unlike that one. It’s a circus that didn’t exist back then. It’s a circus without the cruelty.
