With “A Haunting in Venice” Branagh Solves Poirot

There has been so much to enjoy with Kenneth Branagh’s first two Hercule Poirot outings, “Murder on the Orient Express” and “Death on the Nile,” but both have some more unsatisfactory elements as well.  Now, with his third go-round, “A Haunting in Venice,” the unsatisfactory elements are slimmed down, the enjoyment is ramped up, and the audience gets the best of Branagh’s Poirot works to date.

This week’s podcast looks at the movie, which is now on digital and will be available on Blu-ray come November 28th, and sorts out just why it is that this one works so well.  Plus, naturally, we throw in a plea for the actor/director to keep on making these movies.
