
There are some movies where you can see just how close they came to greatness, just how close they came to being an all-time wonderful thing. Movies which, instead, ended up as purely mediocre. There is an added disappointment to such a movie because you want it to be great that much more.
Enter “Theater Camp,” which is currently available on digital. The tale of a summer camp meant for theater kids, it is a story of outcasts finding a community, of love and friendship and dedication to an idea. It is… fine. It could have been great, but it’s fine.
