“Almost Famous,” “Boogie,” and Growing Up

The transition from childhood to adulthood is different for everyone, but, whatever the specifics of the shift, it is almost certainly not a smooth one.  There are bumps and jerks and difficulties along the way.  That it happens to all of us and isn’t easy is precisely why it makes such good fodder for films and books and television shows and… well, you get the idea.

On this week’s podcast we’ll be looking at Eddie Huang’s “Boogie” and Cameron Crowe’s “Almost Famous.”  The two films may be very different and deal with very different main characters, but those characters are both struggling with the transition to adulthood and doing their best to figure out what it all means.

Take a listen and know that “Boogie” is out on Blu-ray and “Almost Famous” on 4K.  Plus, don’t forget to subscribe. We’re available download at Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadioAmazon Music/Audible  and more.
