I do not love everything that Guillermo del Toro touches. I’ll admit that. There is something in the way so many of his tales unfold that does not work for me. What I will tell though is this, he is one of the greatest currently working at handling visuals. This man’s movies look completely incredible. It’s in the shots and sets and costumes and lighting and everything else. It’s just fantastic.

Wonderfully, “Nightmare Alley,” which is now available on blu-ray and digital, keeps this streak going and on today’s episode we’re going to dig into just what works and what doesn’t in del Toro’s remake.
