After seeing “The Mousetrap” in London this past summer with my children, my nephew, and their grandparents, there was no way I was going to miss “See How They Run.” The film, now available on digital, is not an adaptation of the Agatha Christie play but rather a comedic mystery about a fictional murder taking place at the theater near the start of the show’s historic run.
With a great cast led by Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan, and Adrien Brody, no one would mistake “See How They Run” as having been made 70 years ago, but that’s okay; the film is, unquestionably, worth watching nonetheless. The question we have though is unanswerable — will the movie be remembered as long as the play.
