On this week’s podcast we have directors Ellen Fiske and Ellinor Hallin. The two women spent years filming Gemma, an inhabitant of a housing project, or “scheme,” in Scotland. Although they may not have known where the voyage would take them, they had a sense it would be a good one.
They were right. Not only is the documentary fascinating, it is currently showing at the Tribeca Film Festival.
Take a listen to what they had to tell us about the movie, why they made it, and what’s next. And, if you have the chance, check out “Scheme Birds” for yourself.
