Sometimes things just work out. Earlier this year, although we couldn’t say just when, Amazon put Shirley Jackson’s “The Haunting of Hill House” on sale for the Kindle. I just happened to read the book and finish it less than a week before the new blu-ray version of “The Haunting,” the 1999 adaptation of the book, arrived.
On today’s podcast then we examine a few crucial changes from the novel to the Jan de Bont directed film. Are they for the better? Are they for the worse? Are they just for the spookier? There’s only one way to find out.
