From “Cruella” to “Dalmatians,” is this Prequel Worth it?

Disney’s “Cruella,” which stars Emma Stone as the titular villain who eventually torments many a dog in the Disney classic, “101 Dalmatians,” is not available for purchase digitally. I, for one, am always a little skeptical of such origin stories for previously established characters — are they simply cynical endeavors designed to make money or do they have something worthwhile to offer?

That is the question we’re tackling today on the podcast and, regrettably, I end up sitting on the fence. Well, it’s not regrettable for me, it’s the absolutely correct take, but if you’re a fan of the ranting and raving and shouting, it might be regrettable for you.
