“Amsterdam”: The Weighty, Darkly Dramatic, Zany Comedy

Last time on the podcast, we discussed how some films know exactly what they are and are content with that; these films don’t push to be bigger or better or more grandiose or more important. There is something wonderful to be said for that.

Of course, having talked about that, we now need to talk about the other side — the movies that push too hard, that push too far, that try to be too much. Our example? “Amsterdam,” which is available now on digital and Blu-ray.

Just where does it all go awry?  Take a listen and as always, don’t forget to subscribe.  We’re available for download at Apple Podcasts, iHeartRadioAmazon Music/Audible and more.
