And a very Happy Halloween to you foolish mortal. Today, as befits the occasion, we’ll be discussing the 2023 live action “Haunted Mansion.” A whole lot better than the first live action version, this one proves that not only is there always room for one more, but that Disney can do and be more than one thing.

Slightly scarier than their usual sort of family film, this version of “Haunted Mansion” successfully walks that fine line between throwing in some bonuses for those familiar with the ride and not scaring away the newbies. Well, maybe scaring them away with the ghosts and ghouls and what-not, but not in the other way.
